More London Film Locations

Here’s Richard again with more of his favourite London movies…

“Hitchcock’s Blackmail and Frenzy. Hitch had filmed bits of The Lodger on location, but Blackmail used extensive footage in and around Piccadilly, Haymarket, Regent Street, Kingsway, Charing Cross and, of course both in and outside the British Museum. London's landmarks would never be the same again… and for his farewell to the capital, Frenzy takes a macabre and loving look at Covent Garden, County Hall, and many other places, with everything working logically on the ground as well as in the movie. Of particular note is the bravura title shot as Tower Bridge opens up to let us into the story.”

West End on Film is this Sunday 8th August at 11.00a.m meeting at St James’s Park Station.

Frenzy is available to buy on DVD HERE.
