King George, our current Queen's grandfather, was the first reigning monarch to attend the F.A Cup Final. 100 years ago this year he witnessed Burnley defeat Liverpool by 1-0 at Crystal Palace.
Queen Elizabeth II first attended the F.A Cup Final in 1953 – the famous Matthews Final in which Blackpool, inspired by the great Stanley Matthews, defeated Bolton Wanderers 4-3 at Wembley.
