#London Christmas Shopping Guide 2015 No.12 Gerry's in Soho #xmasinlondon @gerryswinessoho

Welcome to our London Christmas Shopping Guide 2015.

Over the next few weeks we'll be pointing you in the direction of our favourite shops and shopping neighbourhoods near the meeting and ending points of our London Walks …

No. 12. Gerry's

It is said that the wise saw "Good things come to those who wait" was coined while standing in the line at Gerry's. You simply haven't done Christmas in London if you haven't joined the impressive queue that snakes out into Old Compton Street from the door of London's best wine shop.

If it's to be a bottle for a Christmas gift, or even for your own celebrations, Gerry's is the only place you need. Our every smallest dipsomaniacal wish is Gerry’s desire. From Framboise to Angostura Bitters to beers of distinction, to the Rolling Stones’ own label wine (!), Gerry’s has it all. The principle at work here is the same as that behind any great bar: expertise. Just as you will never catch out a great barkeep with any request, so too at Gerry’s you’ll find everything you need to make your party go with a swing.

And they are modest with it. Their website claims, “At Gerry’s you can buy ALMOST every drink under the sun!”
