So, Daily Constitutionalists: how's it
going with the New Year Resolutions?
Are you already pissed out of your head and
smoking like a beagle? Binned the running shoes and sinking into a jelly
babies-induced coma?
Or are you the boss o' 2016?
Here are a few resolutions & plans for
2016 from the London Walks guides, starting with…
London Walks Guide & Daily
Constitutional Associate Editor Kim writes…
One of the things I am very excited for in
2016 is my first visit to the disused tube station at Aldwych. I've talked about this many times in
the past on my Subterranean London walk and now on Unexpected London.
I've seen it - many times - on movies where
actors take trips on the Underground but now the London Transport Museum is
opening the doors for guided tours and I'll be there in February. Check out their website for dates and
bookings: www.ltmuseum.co.uk.
If you can't get a place on the tour or
don't want to trek underground then Unexpected London - 11am Friday at Temple
tube station - is a must. We cover
a ridiculously small distance and yet pack it with some of the most hidden
spots and beautiful buildings. We also
go inside a couple of times so it's a good walk for rainy or cold days.

A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
