In Praise of Scaffolders (!)

London Walks guide and Daily Constitutional Associate Editor Richard III observes…

They do great things with scaffolding these days. Sometimes the gauze facsimile is so beautiful the building behind, when undressed, is a disappointment. I like the way there is a long strip – a practical measure for materials to be brought in – revealing the chaos behind.

I was equally impressed by this bit of scaffolding in Brook Street…

… back in December. Okay it's not nearly quite so glam, but I love how they repositioned the plaque (or a version of it) before starting work. Nicely done.
