The plaques are selected from all walks of life, and all points of the London compass – and I'm taking requests too!
DROP ME A LINE or leave a comment below if you'd like to nominate a plaque for inclusion in the series
You have got to love the opening line to
Francis Galton's Wikipedia entry…
"English Victorian statistician,
progressive, polymath, sociologist, psychologist, anthropologist, eugenicist,
tropical explorer, geographer, inventor, meteorologist, proto-geneticist, and
psychometrician."
Phew!
It goes on to state:
"He was knighted in 1909."
I should jolly well think so too!
The plaque can be found at 42 Rutland Place
SW7…
