A plaque commemorating an historic… garden centre?
Syon Park has been the home of the Dukes of Northumberland for over four centuries. In 1968 the Duke gave permission for his 16th Century stable block to be converted into a garden centre. It was opened by HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and became the model for all garden centres in our gardening obsessed land.
A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
