Heroic medical practitioner who, while working at the Middlesex Hospital in January 1934, assisted in the evacuation of an operating theatre following an explosion caused by an oxygen cylinder. When the theatre was cleared, and at great personal risk, she returned to the oxygen cylinder to switch off the flow.
