A London commemorative plaque for every day in 2016.

Mary Prince's autobiography (1831) was the first account of the life of a black woman to be published in Britain.

Born in Bermuda to an enslaved family in around 1788, she arrived in England in 1828 as a servant and is commemorated here as a major abolitionist and groundbreaking author.
