Another 5-star review on TripAdvisor! Huge thanks to CanuckTraveller07 for taking the time to recommend Harry's tour…
We met our guide Harry
from London Walks last Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM at Whitechapel Underground
station for "The Unknown East End" walk. Having read and heard so
much about the historic East End of London for so many years, it was very
enlightening to visit in person and listen to Harry's fascinating tales of such
diverse subjects as the Kray Brothers, the Elephant Man, Brick Lane,
Spitalfields, the East End Jewish populace, immigration, and the social and
ethnic changes that have occurred in the area. Harry is a native of this area
and his knowledge and experience certainly reflect this. Harry's tour was
totally engaging and informative, and I came away from it having learned a
great deal about the fascinating and historic East End of London. What a great
way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon. Highly recommended.
