“Brunel's London Walk
- Just Amazing!”
We go to London every
few years, and have always gone on at least one London Walk when we visit. They
have always been at least worthwhile, and often wonderful. This particular walk
was the best we have been on yet. It costs a little more, because the price
covers the boat-trip down the Thames. It is also a little longer than most
walks because it covers a lot of ground. As well as the boat, we walked and
used the Tube and rail. I finally understand the geography of the area,
including places like the Isle of Dogs. Our tour guide was passionate and
informative, and we came away with a pretty good understanding of the Brunel
family and their contribution to London. The walk ends at the pub which stands
on the spot where the Mayflower left from, and we enjoyed a very tasty lunch
there after our big walk. This was an excellent walk, and I can't recommend it
highly enough. Go!!
