God Is In The Detail In @TfL London Underground Design

Adam writes…

If it's true that God is in the detail, then, in design terms at least, a trip through the new Tottenham Court Road station is an act of devotion.

Have a look at the white panels on the escalator leading from the platforms to the main concourse. They are bolted to the wall with these fixings…

… the heads of which are in the shape of a London Underground roundel.

Coincidence? Are they standard issue screws? Or is someone at London Underground going the extra mile and thrilling Tube Nerds like me?

A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
