We are looking forward to seeing a lot of you on our London Walks tours today. It's a crisp, sunny winter day in London, perfect for walking.
Others among you will be out on Christmas shopping duty. In which case, good luck! I hope you can use some of the Christmas shopping recommendations we've been sharing here on The DC.
I did a little bit of shopping last night with my wife and daughter. It's our annual tradition – we take a wander around the Christmas lights. We are lucky enough to be able to buy fancy sweeties at Charbonnel et Walker for a posh sugar rush as we go. The guys who work there are always lovely and welcoming, all the year round.
And it's on their behalf – and for ALL those in peril on the sea of Christmas retail – that I offer this further Christmas shopping tip.
Actually, it's more of a plea…
BE NICE TO THE SHOP STAFF
It's an accepted fact that you will go STRAIGHT to the TOP of the naughty list if you behave all high and mighty toward retail staff at Christmas.
It's not worth the risk.
A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
